Former military president, Ibrahim Badamosi
Babangida, has asked Nigerians to vote President
Muhammadu Buhari out of office next year.
IBB, however, enjoined Nigerians to co-operate
with Buhari until his tenure ends.
This was contained in a press statement released
on Sunday by his spokesman, Kassim Afegbua.
Babangida said it was time to sacrifice “personal
ambition” for “national interest” and added that he
will support a fresh breed of leadership in the
2019 elections.
His statement comes a week after former
president, Olusegun Obasanjo asked Buhari not
to seek re-election.
